SPEAKER PROFILE
Donald Saluling: Donald was born and grew up in Makassar. He attained his BA degree in both Fine Arts (Drawing, Painting, Printmaking) and Graphic Design from Portland State University, Oregon. Donald lives in Lebak Bulus and works from his home studio as graphic designer, illustrator & commissioned artist. He is currently the Public Relations for a sketching community called Indonesia’s Sketchers and Urban Sketchers Indonesia. He also finds joy in giving workshops and private classes to share what he has learned from his experience as an urban sketcher to anybody who wants to embrace drawing and sketching, too.
WHAT PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN
- To introduce the art of urban sketching; to increase the participants confidence in drawing and to learn how to be more efficient and spontaneous in drawing/sketching.

Indonesia’s Sketchers (IS) is a non-profit based community that promotes the art of drawing from direct observation (live drawing) especially in Indonesia or by Indonesians everywhere. IS activities include: routine sketching gatherings, sketching workshops and participating in social events. It also sells merchandises, sketchbooks, and published books to raise fund for its operational purposes. This live sketching community is open for everyone and encourages its members to share their stories through their sketches that they post on Social Media.
